Explore, Cook, and Savor
The morning class kicks off at 7:30 AM with a pick-up from your hotel. You’ll start your day by exploring a traditional Balinese market, where you’ll learn about and select fresh ingredients that you’ll use later in the class. Afterward, enjoy a delicious breakfast to energize you for the hands-on cooking experience. The chef will guide you through the preparation of 12 traditional dishes, giving you the chance to learn techniques and tips passed down through generations. The morning culminates in a shared lunch of the delicacies you’ve cooked, where you can savor the fruits of your labor. By 1:00 PM, you will be returned to your hotel, full and inspired!
Master the Art of Traditional Balinese Dishes
Throughout the class, you will learn to prepare a variety of Balinese specialties, including:
- Base de Pasih – A rich and flavorful seafood marinade.
- Base de Siap – A traditional yellow marinade for chicken.
- Ayam Betutu Bali – A signature Balinese dish of chicken baked in banana leaf.
- Sate Ayam – Traditional grilled chicken satay, served with a side of fragrant peanut sauce.
- Sate Lilit Ikan – Minced fish satay, grilled to perfection.
- Tum Ayam – Minced chicken wrapped in banana leaf.
- Green Papaya Salad – A refreshing and spicy papaya salad with chicken.
- Pecelan – A delightful vegetable salad, dressed in rich peanut sauce.
- Urab Jagung – Sweet corn paired with freshly grated coconut.
- Nasi Goreng Ayam – Traditional chicken fried rice.
- Be Celeng Base Manis – Pork cooked in a sweet soy sauce marinade.
